Sporting Director

Jason brings over 16 years of experience as an NCAA Men's and Women's soccer coach, Academy and Sporting Director, and educator. He currently serves as the Assistant Coach of Howard University Men's Soccer after serving as the Head Coach of Women's Soccer at Trinity Washington University. He transformed Trinity's program during his tenure, leading to a historic first-ever win over an NCAA Division II university in school history. 

As a Director, his programming has developed some of the country's top players, including several U.S. Youth National Team players, the D.C. Gatorade Player of the Year, and countless NCAA players. His teams have won a State Cup and three Regional Championships and have competed for several National Championships across various competition formats. As a Coaching Educator, he has provided professional development for hundreds of professionals across the region. 

An alum, Jason also returned to lead the girl's soccer program at School Without Walls HS, a premier academic institution in DCPS, to a DCIAA Championship Final. 

As a player, Jason was a U.S. Youth National Team call-up. He competed as a four-year starter and three-year captain of the Division I Men's Soccer program at Howard University. He received two All-Conference First Team honors and was selected to play professionally in the Major Indoor Soccer League for the N.J. Ironmen. Jason has played competitively in seven countries, including France, England, Spain, Germany, Holland, Denmark, and Norway. 

Jason also serves as the Senior Program Director of Soccer and Operations at DC SCORES.

Alex Ughiovhe

Technical Director

A native of Washington, D.C., Idris “Alex” Ughiovhe comes with over 15 years of coaching experience. Coaching at various levels, including high school, club, and college, where he has developed players at every level. Alex is very proud to continue to play a massive part in player development and help players reach the level of collegiate soccer and beyond. 

Coach Alex is currently the Head Coach of the Trinity Washington University Women’s Soccer team. During his first year as an assistant, Alex helped the Tigers to their first-ever win over a Division 2 school and their first multi-win game season. As a first-year head coach this past season, the Tigers recorded its most successful season of the last decade. 

Before coaching, Coach Alex grew up playing club soccer at Washington Soccer Club and Bethesda Soccer club. He served as captain his senior year at Woodrow Wilson High School, now known as Jackson Reed, and was selected to the 2001 All-Met team. Alex went on to play at  Howard University, where he captained the team his senior year. Alex and his sister Angel Ughiovhe were the first siblings to be captains at the collegiate level at the same school while both were there. 

In 2006 he was drafted by the Chicago Fire (MLS) and then went on to play with Crystal Palace USA (USL), where he received several different honors.
